The Story
Boldwill was founded by two Dutch friends who were frustrated that nearly all sportswear is made from plastic. They asked: why can't performance wear grow on trees? Based in the Netherlands with production in Portugal, Boldwill creates activewear from wood-based Tencel and hemp — fabrics that perform during workouts and biodegrade at end of life. Their [PF] naming system stands for 'Plastic Free,' and every garment proudly carries that designation.
Materials Philosophy
Boldwill's signature PF.Wood fabric is made from Tencel lyocell derived from sustainably managed forests. They also incorporate hemp — one of the world's most sustainable crops requiring minimal water and no pesticides. All production happens in GOTS-certified factories in Portugal, ensuring fair wages and clean manufacturing processes.
