The Story
Community Clothing was founded by Patrick Grant — judge on BBC's The Great British Sewing Bee — to support British textile factories and their skilled workers. The factories that once clothed a nation were closing, and Patrick believed in keeping these crafts alive. Every garment is made in the UK by skilled machinists, using organic cotton that's plastic-free down to the thread. Community Clothing proves that 'Made in Britain' can mean both quality and sustainability.
Materials Philosophy
Community Clothing is obsessed with being genuinely plastic-free. Not just the fabric — but the thread, the labels, the buttons, everything. Their organic cotton is grown without pesticides and sewn with organic cotton thread (most brands use polyester thread even on 'organic' garments). The result is clothing that is truly 100% natural, from first stitch to last.
