What does 'skin-first' mean at ONDU?
At ONDU, "skin-first" means we evaluate every product through the lens of what touches your body. Your skin is your largest organ and absorbs trace amounts of whatever it contacts, so the fabrics you wear and sleep in matter more than most people realize. We prioritize products made from natural, non-toxic fibers — organic cotton, silk, merino wool, linen, bamboo lyocell — and exclude items that rely heavily on synthetic plastics like polyester and nylon.
This philosophy extends beyond just fiber content. We also consider dye processes, chemical finishes, and certifications. A product might use organic cotton but be treated with formaldehyde-based wrinkle-free coatings, which defeats the purpose. ONDU looks at the full picture to ensure that what we recommend is genuinely safe for prolonged skin contact.
Skin-first is not anti-technology — it is pro-transparency. We believe you deserve to know exactly what is touching your body 24 hours a day.
